When Motown’s star performers first toured the UK in 1965, only a handful of music fans came to see Diana Ross and the Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and Martha Reeves as their Revue show travelled the country. The Motown Revue is reported to have attracted dismal attendances as it played a succession of ABC, Odeon and Gaumont theatres. Today, to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the legendary label, the Magic of Motown tribute concert show has been retracing the original artistes steps, and selling out theatres across the country as it goes!
