User Review: 09Dec06: Why doesn't Kym Valentine play Baby in London, When I found out she was in the show, I really wanted to see it -but then when it came over here, she's not in it? I'll probably still see it, but it is a great disappoinment she is not in it. The core characters and supporting cast were enthusiastic and responsive to the audience. I'm sure their performances will continue to improve as the run progresses to match the enthusiasm and talent they already bring.
The use of screens to change the scenery was innovative and really added to the production! Would definitely go again-certainly did not dissapoint! Aprt from a few sound problems, we thought the show was excellent and remarkable true to the original, given the confines of a theatre stage. It is a shame the producers have crammed more seats into the theatre because I have never spent so long in close contact with a total stranger and came out of the theatre with a stiff neck, back and legs. Given the ticket prices, I would expect a better level of comfort. I will get better seats next time even though I will have to pay a lot more. I don't want to be eye level with the ceiling again!
