Over the course of 2015 Digital Theatre Collections will release 13 Glyndebourne productions as part of Digital Theatre’s distribution agreement with Opus Arte transporting audiences through operatic history from the baroque majesty of Henry Purcell to the celebrated 20th Century work of Benjamin Britten.
Digital Theatre Collections now includes opera, ballet, theatre and concerts from Glyndebourne, the Royal Opera House, Shakespeare’s Globe, English National Ballet and the London Symphony Orchestra.
The first Glyndebourne titles available will be released as a collection called British Opera Classics. Titles included are Henry Purcell’s The Fairy Queen and George Frideric Handel’s Rinaldo and Giulio Cesare, all of which premiered in London around the turn of the 18th century.
