There are now only two weeks until the long-awaited first national tour of Dirty Dancing gets underway at the Bristol Hippodrome.
The country has been starved of one of its favourite shows since the West End production closed earlier this year which has made the wait even harder. Always popular with audiences, this terrific show carries with it an huge buzz of excitement and plenty of hit songs including hit songs, including Hungry Eyes, Hey Baby, Do You Love Me? and, of course, I’ve Had The Time Of My Life.

More than 350,000 people have by far watched this musical in London and its ticket sales have amounted to an outstanding Dollar 80 million. Josef Brown continues to play his character of Johnny Castle whereas the earlier baby has been replaced by Georgina Rich who made her debut with this musical. Presently it is booked till the December 2008 in the West end of London. A New York production is in the planning stage regarding this play according to a report by CNN. It has started breaking records namely in the North American city in Toronto where it opened on 31st of October in 2007. Plans of expansion to Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles and even San Francisco are under consideration.
