The Infidel – The Musical
Originally a film, The Infidel – The Musical sought its angels via the crowd-funding website KickStarter.The campaign was set up in March this year allowing people to be angels for a minimum investment of £1. Reaching its target in April and now with a huge community of interested well-wishers, the show is to play at the Theatre Royal Stratford East 4th October to 2nd November this year – apparently the first weekend is almost sold out!
Kickstarter Angels receive a variety of rewards for taking part, as a minimum getting regular updates from the rehearsal process – could this be a model for future productions? We think so and yes, we did put our hands into our own pockets and join in, well, it seemed like such a great idea 😉
Digital Theatre now partnered with Stagetext Theatre Royal Stratford East to get new building
