Singin’ in the Rain
The Chichester Festival Theatre production of Singin’ in the Rain which is transferring to The Palace Theatre after Priscilla moves out has had a poster make-over. Singin’ in the Rain tickets are already available for the show which previews from 4th February and opens on 12th February 2012.
Jonathan Church’s production stars Adam Cooper as Don Lockwood, Daniel Crossley as Cosmo and Scarlett Strallen as Kathy Seldon; roles made famous in the MGM film by Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and the lovely Debbie Reynolds. Of course no “SITR” would be complete without a completely barking Lina Lamont and that role will be delivered by Katherine Kingsley with Michael Brandon as the studio boss in a panic to complete Hollywood’s first blockbuster ‘talkie’. Sandra Dickinson plays columnist Dora Bailey with designs provided by Simon Higlett and the fabulous choreography comes from Andrew Wright.
If you sit at the front of the stalls you can expect to get wet – those in Chichester did to their great delight, especially in the full-bore, smile-a-second finale. London will be a happier place when this show opens …
